BLACKTOP W/ NICK PAPARONE
Jiminie Ha is an artist, curator and creative director based in New York City. She is the recipient of the Rome Prize (2012), granted by the American Academy in Rome for her body of work, and currently resides in Rome. She is the founder and director of W/-- Projects (With Projects), which includes a curatorial program (W/ Project Space), and a biannual arts and culture publication (White Zinfandel). Recent projects include commissioned work with Maison Martin Margiela, Tate Modern, Richard Phillips, Daniel Gordon, 2x4, Nike and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She has held freelance creative/art director positions at Starworks/Marque Creative, Li Inc, and Wieden + Kennedy. In addition, she has re-designed and directed art publications such as Bidoun Magazine, Art Asia Pacific and more recently Capricious Magazine.
She holds a BA from Brown University with honors (2001), and MFA from Yale University School of Art (2007), where she was awarded the Alice Kimball Fellowship (2007). She has given lectures at the New York Chapter of the AIGA and PS1 New York Art Book Fair, and her work has been published in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Interview Magazine, Whitewall Magazine, Idea Magazine, Surface, I.D., IdN, Harper’s Bazaar Korea, Elle Girl. Her work has been selected and exhibited at MoMA's Millennium Magazines (2012), The Armory (2012), Basel (June 2012) and Brno Design Biennale (June 2012).
