INVESTIGATING THROUGH CONTEMPORARY LANDSCAPE DESIGN OUR DREAMS OF NATURE

Working in the field of landscape, architecture and urban planning for almost ten years now, I have gradually focused my attention on a particular question: what kind of world/environment are we dreaming of? Moreover, which archetypes, aesthetical poetics and cultural models influence contemporary landscape design?
This study focuses on contemporary landscape design and practice in order to illustrate and discuss different ways of dealing with nature and man’s made environment in the ‘ecological era.’ The aim of the research is to develop a productive discussion by looking at different scale projects and new design opportunities.
