Anna Betbeze was born in 1980 in Mobile, Alabama, and lives and works in New York. She received her BFA from the University of Georgia in 2003 and her MFA from Yale University School of Art in 2006. Solo exhibitions include Moss Garden, At Kate Werble Gallery, New York; Wormholes, François Ghebaly Gallery, Los Angeles (2012); Anna Betbeze: New Work, Massachusetts Museum Of Contemporary Art, North Adams, Ma (2012); Moons, Lüttgenmeijer, Berlin (2012). Her work has been exhibited in institutions and galleries including, among others, the MoMA PS1, New York; Musée D’art Moderne De La Ville De Paris, Paris; Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, Paris; Tonya Bonakdar Gallery, New York; Galerie Chez Valentin, Paris; and The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Swing Space, New York.
