Colin Gee is a performing artist working with video, film, opera, and theater. His work uses narrative and location, moving between cinematic and theatrical performance styles.  Frontier is a solo theatrical opera, comprised of nested stories inspired by John Ford's 1956 film "The Searchers." The design of the work seeks to interpret the notion of 'frontier,' both as a boundary between psychological states and as a geographical boundary seen from the perspective of an individual. The music is composed by his sister and collaborator Erin Gee (FAAR ’08).
